About Us

Built on the basic principles of integrity, hard work and passion for excellent engineering, DFW Consulting Group, Inc. began in 1989 in Irving, TX.  Co-founders Ken Meline, PE and Julian Rachman, PE positioned the firm to be one of the leading MEP firms through principal involvement, strong project management and dedication to completing projects on time and within budget. 

 

W.L. McCulloch, PE joined the firm in 1992 and as Principal, he took the management role of the Commercial Division.  He also heads the firm’s LEED initiatives and has successfully achieved LEED Silver and Gold ratings for several projects.  As the Principal leading the BIM initiative, Rodney Ramsey, continues the firm’s tradition of pushing the innovation envelope.  The highly successful and efficient Tenant Finish Division is managed by our fifth Principal, Pat Lechtenberg, PE who has over twenty years of experience in the consulting industry.

 

Registered in 34 states, the firm comprises of Professional Engineers, LEED Accredited Professionals, Certified Energy Managers and Certified Commercial Energy Inspectors.  Working with architects and building owners around the country, DFW Consulting Group, Inc. stays in the forefront of technology and trends by our involvement in leading industry organizations such as ASHRAE, IEEE, 7x24 Exchange, NFPA (National Fire Protection Agency) and many others.  Through our partnership with U.S. EPA ENERGY STAR® and membership in the U.S. Green Building Council, we are able to focus on sustainable, energy efficient and cost effective design.  The Principals repeatedly give presentations at conferences and industry chapter programs on topics such as “greening” data centers and cutting energy costs through CFD Modeling.  We output valuable white papers for several industry publications and provide training to our clients and AIA Dallas programs.  Our view of engineering is to teach others what we know so together, we can make the design process run smoother and produce efficient and effective buildings.
